How we calculate (calendar days, backwards from erection) — under CROATIAN rules: notification of the start of construction — the developer files it with the building authority no later than 8 days before work begins (Croatian Building Act, art. 131); notification of the site to the labour inspectorate — no later than the day before work begins, where it is required (works lasting more than 10 days or particularly hazardous works; OG 48/18); electricity connection consent — the operator issues it no later than 15 days from a complete application (Regulation OG 7/18, art. 12), while installing the connection itself can take longer; foundation — common practice reckons that standard concrete at ~20 °C reaches most of the required strength in about 7 days, but the concrete design and site supervision are what govern. After erection: an independent authorised company carries out the examination and testing (inspection report) before the crane is put into service. FOR SITES OUTSIDE CROATIA the local rules and different deadlines apply — check them with the competent authority.
