How we calculate: we compare the total mass of the load (increased by typical lifting gear of ~0.1 t) with two known points for each crane — the maximum capacity (closer to the tower) and the capacity at the jib tip. We do not interpolate between them, because the capacity curve is not linear — the exact radius for a given load is read from the crane’s load chart. Masses are indicative (typical packaging values; e.g. Porotherm 20 blocks: 12.1 kg each according to the manufacturer’s data sheet) — actual masses depend on the manufacturer, moisture and packaging, so for borderline cases the actual weighing always applies.
