Overlap ≠ safety. The overlap zone on the map is a plan view (2D) and shows only where the jib reaches intersect — nije a collision check. On a real site with several cranes, collisions are prevented by an anti-collision system, by a height difference between the cranes (the jibs pass over one another) and by a lift and coordination plan. We agree that with every enquiry of this kind.
About "reach": the slider sets how far you plan to reach on the plot. Actual jib lengths are stepped (they are assembled from sections), and the capacity at a shorter radius is read from the load chart — we will add the exact choice of configuration and the capacity along the jib once the manufacturer’s data arrives. The default value is each crane’s maximum reach.

The circle is the nominal plan-view reach of the jib; the actual configuration on site may be shorter.
